It looks like a kid's craft. Nothing fancy. Nothing extravagant. Just a few words cut from old magazines, some Elmer's glue, colored paper and pencils, stickers, and fancy scissors. They're just small words...but they have BIG meaning. Words are very powerful, and when used correctly, they can have a very powerful effect. God placed it on my heart a long time ago to encourage people by snail mail. Our generation has become so consumed with technology, and the "get it to me quick" syndrome. However, there are some "old-fashion" ways that have stood the test of time, and they are still as powerful today as they ever were. I don't know of a single soul who does not take pleasure in going to the mailbox to find that in the mist of all the bills, and sale papers, and junk mail, that there is something in the box designed specifically for them out of love. Something that was not mass produced and not carbon copied, but designed - with them in mind. That's what God laid on my heart.
There's also another generation of people who never (or seldom) use technology. Some are sick, discouraged, depressed, down-trodden, etc. If a few kind words can make an impact, if only for a brief moment in time, it'll all be worth the effort it took to find the right words in an old book.
I failed God in that I procrastinated in getting started, and I'm sure I've missed a LOT of opportunities to be a blessing. I've repented and prayed that I get it right this time. So, here is the beginning of something great! Anything you do for God is great because God is GREAT! I appreciate him for giving me the opportunity to correct my mistakes. #Grateful!
