Project
You have learned a lot about calories, weight and exercise. For the first part of your project, you will design a healthy meal plan for yourself or someone you know. Your meal plan should be a 30 day plan. Before designing your meal plan, you must decide the goal of the person participating in the plan. Does the person need to lose weight or gain weight. Does the person simply need to maintain his/her current weight. If the goal is weight gain or weigh loss, then tell us how much is needed long term and how much can be expected during the 30 days of the meal plan.
In part two of your project, you will design a work out regime for the same person that you are preparing the meal plan for. Provide the details of the workout. How often is the person expected to workout? How many calories does the workout burn.
Both the meal plan and the workout regime should correlate to accomplish the set goal.
Then finally, for the last part of your project, you are to make two video clips. One clip should be an exercise demo of at least 5 minutes, and the other clip should be about sodium content and should last at least 5 minutes as well. I have put together a video on sugar content that you will watch before making your video on sodium. Your video does not have to model mine. This is just an example. I love it when students use their own creative minds. Some questions that you should answer in your video on sodium include: what exactly is sodium, do we need it, why do we need it, how much do we need, are there some food that are better sources than others, or are there foods that should be avoided because of it, or is sodium something we should avoid at all cost.

If you're wondering if watching your calorie/sugar intake, getting adequate exercise, and drinking plenty of water works. If you're wondering if it's worth denying yourself all of those extra "sweet treats" and "salty snacks." If you're wondering if it's all worth it...the proof is in the pudding. Take a look:
